Reservation of similar name in group of companies

To lodge with CIPC:

Complete CoR 9.1.
Letter from owner of company if associated name is used and if ticked yes at any of the options under item 1(2) or (2).
Certified ID copy of applicant.
Certified ID of director giving mandate to CIPC agent.
You have to lodge the above manually.
Confirmation of name from CIPC will be returned via email, post or Docex, depending on choice of delivery linked to Agent Code.

Name Reservation not associated with another similar name

If it is a straight forward name that is not associated, it will be lodged electronically. Then to use only CoR 9.1. Confirmation of name from CIPC will be returned via email, post or Docex, depending on choice of delivery linked to Agent Code.

R75 (manual)
R50 (electronically)

You receive a CoR 9.4 back from CIPC confirming the name reserved. Names reserved for 6 months. You can then extend for 60 business days.
